It’s easy for you to get stuck in the daily grind and barely have enough time to focus on yourself and achieving your biggest dreams.
The reality is we only get one life and one opportunity to live it at the highest level possible and go for our dreams full force, in the face of fear but do it anyway.
It’s important to allow yourself the time and space to stop and reflect on how far you’ve come and be honest with your situation if you’re living your life on purpose and fully expressing yourself and making the most of your life on a daily basis.
If you can feel in your heart that you soul wants more and you want to get on your life and soul path…
Here are my top 5 soul searching questions you must ask yourself.
Grab your notebook or journal and explore these questions from your heart and monitor how you feel as you ask each question.
1. Am I happy with my life?
This is great starting point, be honest with yourself, how do you feel in your life right now?
This isn’t an opportunity for you to beat yourself up in any way.
Be loving and kind with yourself and see what comes up.
It’s likely you are happy in many areas but one or two areas of your life you would love to improve.
When I asked myself this question 5 years ago, it hit me like a ton of bricks that I was unhappy and wasn’t enjoying my life. I felt confused and didn’t know what to do to change my life because everything felt like a big mess and I did know where to start.
2. Am I spending enough time with my partner and/or friends?
If you have a partner, do you feel you are spending enough quality time together having fun? If not, look at what’s stopping you from spending time together and what you can change.
If you don’t have a partner, are you spending enough time with your friends? It’s easy with the daily grind of work to not see them as often as you would like.
3. Am I spending my days doing what I love?
As we spend 9-10 hours a day at work it’s important we are doing what we love and what makes us feel excited and alive. When you wake up do you feel excited for the day or dread getting up in the morning? Do you spend most of your time daydreaming and wishing you were somewhere else?
4. Does my work inspire me?
You deserve to work you feel passionate for that gives you a buzz and you could do for hours on end without feeling frustrated or tired. How do you feel about your working day at the moment?
If your work doesn’t inspire you, it reduces your productivity, concentration and focus and ability to be as effective as you could be if you are inspired by your work.
5. Do I have enough time to do what I love?
You can’t just work, work, work with no time to relax and unwind or simply have fun doing the activities you love. Now is a good time to reflect on how many hours a week you spend doing what you love?
If the time you spend each week working and running around with the daily hustle of life is outweighing the time you have to do all the simple things you’re passionate about. Something needs to change as you need balance to feel fulfilled and all work and no play makes a dull life.
I hope these questions have inspired you to dig deep and explore how you really feel.
